Lancaster County Parks and Recreation is looking for community members, local businesses, organizations, churches, and families to join us for our Spooktacular Trunk or Treat! Decorate your vehicle, dress up in your favorite costume, and help us create a fun and memorable Halloween experience for local families. Bring your creativity and your best trunk decorations, then pass out candy to trick-or-treaters throughout the event! Ready to join the fun? Sign up to host a trunk at Spooktacular’s Trunk or Treat!
Event Details:
Event Date: Saturday, October 31st, 2026
Event Time: 12pm-4pm
Event Location: Buford Athletic Complex
Address: 4073 Hurley Walters Road, Lancaster, SC 29720
Setup:
Trunk or Treat cars are allowed onto the field at 10:45am.
Tear-Down Time: 4pm
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, please adhere to the following candy guidelines for the Trunk or Treat portion of the Spooktacular event:
1. Candy Type:
-Only individually wrapped candies are allowed.
-No homemade treats or unwrapped items.
-Avoid candies that may pose choking hazards to young children.
2. Allergen Considerations:
-Be mindful of common allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, etc.).
-Clearly label any candies that contain allergens.
3. Expiration Dates:
-Check expiration dates on all candy.
4.Quantity:
Plan for a large number of participants, we are expecting 3,000 attendees.
5. Presentation:
Decorate your trunk in a fun, Halloween-themed manner.
6. Clean-Up:
-Keep your area clean of any trash properly.
-At the end of the event, remove all decorations and leftover candy.
