Zoom Parent Meeting
First 3 weeks:

Camp Hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am-6:00pm

Week 3: Zoo Keeper
Get ready to go wild during Zoo Keeper Week! Campers will spend the week exploring the fascinating world of animals and learning what it takes to care for them. Through fun games, crafts, and interactive activities, kids will discover different animal habitats, learn interesting facts about creatures big and small, and imagine what it would be like to be a real zoo keeper. Campers will also take part in animal-themed challenges, creative projects, and group activities that encourage teamwork, curiosity, and a love for wildlife. The excitement continues on Friday with a special field trip to Riverbanks Zoo, where campers will see incredible animals up close and experience the zoo alongside their fellow campers and counselors. It’s a week full of wild adventures, learning, and animal fun that campers won’t want to miss!

To create the best possible experience for every camper, we will divide participants into the following age-based groups:
• Group A (the Minnows): Kindergarten and 1st Grade
• Group B (the Bluegills): 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade
• Group C (the Catfish): 4th Grade and 5th Grade

Camp Hours & Important Information:
• Drop-off begins at 7:30am
• Pick-up will end at 6:00pm
• Camp will be held at the Springdale Recreation Center

Campers should:
• Bring their own lunch every day (labeled with their full name), this ensures that their personal lunchboxes are not lost or left behind
• Bring a reusable water bottle labeled with their full name
• Wear tennis shoes for safety
• All campers must wear their field trip shirts on designated field trip days.

Pricing:
• Weekly fee for first child is $95
• Additional children are $90 each
• This fee does not change if your child does not attend a day during the week of camp that they are registered for.
• Field trips are included in these rates.

Field Trips:
• Please note that all children that are at the center on field trip days will attend field trips. If you do not wish for your child(ren) to attend any field trips, they SHOULD be dropped off after we return on field trip days. If your child is not dropped off in time before the Friday field trips - you may NOT drop off at the location.
• Movie trips this summer will be on Wednesdays to the Crown Cinema movie theater at 1041 W. Meeting Street, Lancaster SC 29720. If your child is not dropped off at the center before we go to the movies - you may NOT drop your child off at the movies.
• Children may NOT be dropped off at the center while the other children are on the field trip. You may drop off once all children are back from the trip.
• Staff will notify parent's when we return from field trips if they wish to drop off after. This will not change the fees for the week if your chld does not attend and comes after the trip.
• Each camper will receive two shirts to wear on field trip days. If your child isn't wearing the correct shirt on field trip days - you will be asked to pick your child up and he/she will not be able to go on the trip.

Meals:
• NO MICROWAVABLE FOODS
• NO PEANUTS OR ANYTHING THAT CONTAINS PEANUT INGREDIENTS
• Breakfast: 7:30am-8:15am (provided)
• Lunch: 11:00am-12:45pm
• Afternoon Snack: 3:30pm-4:00pm (provided)


When registering your child, be sure you read and initial LCPR’s Summer Day Camp Rules and Parent Pledge, along with completing the Camper Information Forms (please upload a picture of your camper). Your Summer Day Camp registration will not be completed/valid until the form has been submitted and both items have been signed. We encourage you to print a copy for your records.
